Floods that drove thousands of families from their homes in Southern Malawi could strike again in the next few days – according to children’s charity Plan International.
People in districts such as Phalombe, Nsanjeand, Mangochi have been the worst hit by the downpours that started nearly a month ago.
Many are living in temporary accommodation in schools, mosques, churches and tents.
They are struggling to cope with over-crowding, lack of food, no adequate sanitary facilities, and no lighting at night.
