Ncwala ceremony which is the first traditional ceremony on the traditional ceremony calendar in Zambia is a traditional ritual of thanks giving to God almighty for the green.
Probably one of Zambia?s most colourful and popular festivals celebrated, the ceremony is open to all visitors who sometimes put on Ngoni gear popularly known as Vitewe. The Ngoni People of Zambia, parts of Malawi and Tanzania gather at Mtenguleni, about 50km from Chipata on the Great East Road for this old age tradition.
